How to extract and install the downloaded disk image file

Using Raspberry Pi/Raspberry Pi OS

The Raspberry Pi Archiver cannot extract large files. I have not tried to flash the image onto a Micro SD card using my Raspberry Pi, but I extracted the image using the procedure below and verified the image against the original. The username is 'dietpi' and the password is 'raspberry'. For OpenWebRX the administrator username is 'pi' and the password is 'raspberry'.

Using Windows

Install a SD card flash utility such as Raspberry Pi Imager or balenaEtcher, which is what I use.
Insert a 32 GB or larger Micro SD card into a Micro SD card reader on your Windows computer. It must be one that can also write.
balenaEtcher can open zip files and should work with this image. Be sure to have it verify the Micro SD card after it flashes it.

Booting and setup of the image on your Raspberry Pi

Insert the SD card onto your Raspberry Pi and boot.
Run at the terminal prompt: 
sudo dietpi-launcher
Select DietPi-Drive_Manager
Select the partition similar to this: / : /dev/mmcblk0p2 | ext4 | Capacity: 13.8G | Used: 12.4G
<OK>
Select Resize
<OK> to reboot now
# To set up WiFi
sudo dietpi-config
Select Network Options: Adapters
Highlight Onboard WiFi. If it is off, press enter to turn it on.
Select WiFi <Enter>
<Ok>
Select Country
Select your country and press Enter.
Select 0: [unused] Select to configure and press enter.
Scan and configure an SSID
Select your WiFi
Press enter
Select WPA-PSK if you use this type of authentication
Press Enter
Type WiFi password
Press Enter
Tab to <Done>
Press Enter.
Use arrow keys to <Apply>
Press Enter
Tab to <Ok>, press enter
Wait a few minutes
<Back>
<Back>
<Exit>
<Ok>
If a Reboot is required, press <Ok>
