Western Electric 302 desk telephone, c. 1937-1941
It was designed by Henry Dreyfuss. This phone is made of die-cast zinc. The model  F1 handset is made of Bakelite. Later versions of the phone and handset were made of thermoplastic. The 302 series was the first Bell System subscriber desk telephone to contain the ringer and induction coil within the phone.
