Radios Drake 1-A, 1957-1960 "Sideband Receiver". Introduced in 1957, it was Drake's first amateur receiver. 13 tubes: 6BZ6, 6BE6, 6AB4, 6BE6, 6BQ7A, 6BY6, 6BZ6, 12AU7, 6BJ8, 12AU7, 12AQ5, 12X4, 12BA6. Sideband tuning control moves filter response up to 3 kc above or below the fixed carrier for a variable bandpass. Triple conversion. The 1st I. F. is 600 kc wide: 2.9-3.5 mc, 2nd I. F. 1100 kc, 3rd I. F. 50 kc. There were variations made and this one is probably one of the later models. This is a very nice receiver.
